Nokia N8 is based on Symbian 3, off course Symbian is a reputable system for a long time, but this OS still didn’t have a chance in front of the mighty Android and iPhone OS, or even WebOS, it simply way to simple, nothing special and only offer nothing new functionality than others. This system is really the major flaw for this phone, even with the improved multitouch browser, photo gallery and the Ovi Maps.

Nokia has been trying to take over the triumph of smartphone market for a long time, N900 is the proof, but this phone still underpowered by the iPhone, Motorola Droid and HTC. Nokia N8 is their newest line for this market, it got the multitouch support, 12 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon Flash that always took impressive photos and 720p HD video recording with Dolby Digital surround support and HDMI, unfortunately to me, this is still standard, no killer feature or application to stand against other.

Conclusion : Nokia N8 got it latest multimedia feature, the 12 MP camera and HDMI output, but the software/OS is way too outdated.
