This must be the most fugly mobile phone I ever see in 2010, I know it target the teenage out there, but the design is still not appealing at all, it simply out of date.
This Nokia X5 is not a touchscreen phone, its a slider with a chubby design, though this square design may be fascinating enough for the teenage, fortunately Nokia X5 also shipped in so many rich colours and custom pouches, i doubted it will wins the crowd.
Nokia X5 is loaded with Symbian S60 3rd Edition software with Feature Pack 2, stable enough and powerful, but its primitive compared to Android or iPhone, Nokia X5 comes with unlimited music download and the price range is about 165 euros. Using An ARM11 600MHz CPU and 256MB of RAM power the X5, 32 GB expandable microSD card, HSDPA/HSUPA, Wi-Fi, quad-band GSM, Bluetooth stereo and a 3.5mm audio jack, but no GPS. For multimedia, the back of the X5 is adorned with a 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash, a minimum focusing distance of 50cm and an F2.4 aperture. It records VGA-resolution videos at 15fps. The Webkit browser supports Flash Lite 3.0, and the usual services such as Mail for Exchange and Ovi can all be found on the X5.
The 950mAh battery has a rated talktime of 5 hours and standby time of about 17 days.
CONS:
- HIDEOUS design/attractive, you choose
- Ancient Symbian system, less powerfull
- Sliding design?
- no support for touchscreen
PROS:
- Value prices
- Fascinating colours
- Full range connectivity
- Nokia multimedia system is top knotch
CONCLUSION:
If you are a dare to different style person who need to show other that you are different, the go for it, it will absolutely attract more attention, but if you are a business man stay with your ancient phone, even if you are looking for the media capability, there’s other who will give you more satisfaction than this phone.
